Routine guide
A morning routine for children who lose the thread
One step on screen at a time, so starting is possible and the next thing is never a surprise.
Children who struggle to start and to switch do not need a longer list; they need a shorter view of it. Showing one step, with the next one visible but quiet underneath, removes the two hardest parts of a morning: deciding what to do, and noticing that the last thing finished.
What actually helps
- One step at a time on screen. A list of eleven things is eleven decisions before anything happens.
- Timers help some children enormously and wind others up. Try it on two steps, not all of them.
- Put a warning before anything that means stopping something enjoyable.
- Count starts, not just finishes. Getting going by themselves is the harder skill and the one worth noticing.
Is this a treatment or a therapy?
No. Flowly is a routine and organisation tool. It does not assess or diagnose anything, it never asks whether your child has a diagnosis, and nothing it shows you is a clinical opinion. Plenty of families use it having never spoken to anybody about it.
The routine
โ๏ธ School morning
- Get out of bed 2 min
- Get dressed 8 min
- Breakfast 15 min
- Brush teeth 2 min
- Hair and face 3 min
- Pack the school bag 5 min
- Shoes and coat 3 min
Free for one child and three routines. You can change every step.
Your child sees one step at a time
Not the whole list. The step they are on, big and clear, with the next one quiet underneath, and a count of what is already done. That is the entire child experience, and it is why it works when a chart on the fridge stops working.

Other routines
Flowly supports routines and organisation. It is not a medical, diagnostic or therapy product, it does not assess anybody, and no diagnosis is ever asked for.
